OUR HISTORY
The Academy of Greatness and Excellence, an accredited and STEM Certified Islamic School, opened its doors in September 2013, serving Muslim students in grades Pre-School through 3rd grade. In its second year of operation, Academy of Greatness and Excellence had expanded to include grades 4-6, witnessing a 500% enrollment increase from its inception year. In September 2015, the school expanded to include 7th and 8th Grade classes, offering a College Preparatory Middle School program, preparing the AGE students for High School, College and beyond.

Academy of Greatness & Excellence resumed its expansion once again in September 2018, after acquiring a 40,000 SQ. FT school building in Ridgefield Park, to accommodate our growing population of AGE students and to expand Academy of Greatness & Excellence into a High School. The school building is currently serving students in grades 3 through 12. The building is located at 110 Mount Vernon Street, Ridgefield Park, only 2.5 miles away from our campus in Teaneck. The building includes 20 classrooms, a spacious cafeteria, a full-size gymnasium, and a media center.

The school is founded on traditional Islamic values that seek to develop intellectual, moral, and physical skills that celebrate the innate gifts each child has been blessed with. It is in this nurturing and safe community that the AGE students master the skills essential for success academically and throughout every facet of their lives.

The school governance and leadership ensure that the school is clearly Islamic in its mission and philosophy by implementing Islam as the main source that drives all school activities, class instruction, and school gatherings. School faculty foster Islamic identify and prepare students for integration into a religiously and ethnically diverse society through in-class and school-wide instruction. Every faculty member has been carefully selected by the school Board and school leadership on the basis of their motivation to educate the next generation of Muslim students that are proud of their Islamic heritage and are able to succeed in our religiously and ethnically diverse society. As a means of achieving this, all staff members reflect formal and informal instruction to students stressing on how Islam is a religion of tolerance and respect, equipping them with the tools they need to be effective global citizens.
